Stunning antique work-of-art-firescreen with (arch) angels in great colors. This all handcrafted firescreen from the early 1900s definitely is a one of a kind antique. Especially in this hasty, modern era more and more people are starting to appreciate the quality, the durability, the deeper meaning and the decorative value of these amazing antiques. The stained glass fragment inside this antique firescreen could in fact be an even older stained glass church window. This incredibly well made stained glass window in its wrought iron frame depicts three arch angels and their colors are amazing. We don't know exactly who they are, but they come with the most beautiful wings and have you also noticed their sunray-like halos? Together with the planet-like 'rosettes' above them, they are like a holy appearance in the midnight sky. This unique and highly decorative antique screen looks beautiful in our photos, but in real life and especially with a lamp or a real fire behind it, the colors are truly heavenly and an absolute joy to own and look at. The screen frame is entirely handcrafted wrought iron and this screen is as strong and stabile as the day it was made and it has a beautiful patina. Apart from some minor hairline cracks in some of the smaller glass pieces (not disturbing) this antique firescreen is in very good condition.
