About the Item
A stunning set of Post-Modern fireplace tools by Danny Alessandro. Bold, elegantly refined minimalist taste, artistic very fine quality cast fire tools with ring handles in chromed nickeled steel, comprising four implements each with a circular "ring" handle that slides over and registers securely into a notch on the integral floor stand.
The scarce, exceptionally executed original matching set including a broom, tong, shovel, poker and rack finished in rich, lustrous polished chrome. The tools do not look to have ever been used.
American Modernist Alessandro sold his works through William H. Jackson Company and Holly Hunt.
This is not only an incredibly utilitarian fireplace tool set, but an exceptional example of clean contemporary design and exquisite craftsmanship. It would make a superb addition to any style of interior, from Art Deco, Midcentury Industrial, Hollywood Regency, Postmodern Glam to classic contemporary.

Finished in Machine Age Steamline Modern styling with nods to Brutalist, the fabulous andirons feature sculptural skyscraper city design of three graduated, polished solid steel hexagonal columns rising on substantial, heavy, solid steel square bases.
