A polished brass decorative dog grate of serpentine form, the shaped wrought fire bars over a fine pierced openwork fret set between tapering uprights. The decorative fireback with central urn detail. Extensive engraving to fret, wings and finials and rivet-work fire grill. Height of burning area: 9.13". Restored.
