19th Century Carved Carrara Marble Chimneypiece in the Renaissance Style

About the Item

A 19th century carved Carrara marble chimneypiece in the Renaissance style. It has stepped moulded foot blocks below richly decorated jambs with Corinthian capitals. The in - grounds has twining vines and bunches of grapes, below a frieze featuring a central mask, foliage and floral decoration branching towards corner blocks of stylized dolphins. Below a carved and moulded shelf.
