About the Item

A very beautiful and versatile 19th Century polished brass & steel fireplace insert. A solid brass outer frame with centralised high relief daisy tendrils, the polished splayed hood with three rosettes set within framed panels, flanked by frames hosting brass mounts surmounted with brass repusse bacchanalian inspired panels. The three barred fire front complete with an ash pan door. The internal fire opening size: 415mm wide x 580mm high. The bars and ash door overall height: 290mm.
