About the Item

A mid-late 19th century English grey wash pine fireplace. This striking fire mantel dates from the 1870s and is stylishly decorated with repeating Greek key details across the frieze that create a stylish neoclassical look. It is finished in a grey wash and has been sandblasted to achieve a distressed look, becoming a timeless addition to interiors old and new. Dentals ornament the staggered shape of the mantel shelf, adding to its grandeur as the focal point of a room. Opening height: 96.5 cm (37.99 inches) Opening width: 95.5 cm (37.59 inches) Across the footblocks: 132 cm (51.96 inches).
