Beautiful Breche Marble Louis XVI Fireplace Mantel
About the Item
Very happy to offer the beautiful and sought after Antique Louis XVI fireplace mantel in amazing rare and colorful breche marble.
The nice profiles and stepped topshelf rest on a superb frieze that has a lovely central cartouche with beaded panels on both sides that end in acanthus paterae endblocks. These in turn rest on beautifully carved acanthus console jambs. The foluted legs are centered by a twisted rope that end in scrolled feet that are supported on sturdy footblocks.
This mantel is in beautiful condition and ready to be packed and shipped and arrive in 14 days time.
This Breche marble is extracted from the town of Serravezza, near to the Carrara region in Italy. It is made up of hues going from white to dark violet, whilst passing through shades of pink, green, grey all combined together powerful veins.
