An English Antique George II style Marble Fireplace Mantel

About the Item

An antique mid 19th century George II style Statuary marble with Tinos Green marble inlay. A good quality surround with delicate carvings and well proportioned. The tiered breakfront shelf above a running frieze of carved rosettes and stop flute inlays, flanked by Tinos green end blocks with applied carved white marble classical urns. The jambs with tapering inlaid panels. Stood a shaped foot blocks. The ingrounds pronounced and moulded. English Circa 1850 Opening 101.5cm w X 95.5cm h
