About the Item

A highly decorative engraved German silver serpentine fire grate with central acanthus detailing to fire bars, flanked by harebell columns, outswept wings over a fluted pierced frieze interspersed with oval patera within beaded boarders. Column legs on square plinths under decorative urn finials. Restored. Circa 1910
