Late Georgian Serpentine Brass & Steel Fire Grate

About the Item

A late Georgian brass & steel serpentine fire grate. The railed basket supported by engraved tapered uprights on plinthed feet. The fluted frieze with fine delicate floral engraving set over beaded moulding. Intricate engraving to wings and urn finials and beveled fireback. Restored. Height of burning area: 12" Circa 1830
