Polished Brass Decorative Serpentine Fire Grate

About the Item

A highly decorative engraved brass and steel serpentine fire grate with central acanthus detailing to fire bars, flanked by harebell columns, outswept-wings over a fluted pierced frieze interspersed with oval patera within beaded boarders. Column legs on square plinths under decorative urn finials. Restored. Height of burning area: 12" Circa 1910
