A beautiful Georgian period painted pine fire mantel, ornately decorated with a scallop shell to the central frieze among scrolling foliage. Sourced from a country house in Scotland, this elegant antique fire surround features deep, bold neoclassical style carving and intricate mouldings throughout. Decorative down to the finest of details, the scallop shell theme is echoed throughout the egg and dart moulding of the opening for a unique flourish.
