Pair of Anglo-Japanese Cast Iron Fire Inserts by T Jeckyll

About the Item

An Anglo-Japanese cast iron fire insert which shows strong design similarities between Thomas Jeckyll's work for BBB and E W Godwin for S S and Shorland Manchester under the cape of Ernest Hooper, circa 1880s. Both slightly different sizes- approx. 2" difference all round. Both depth: 2". Left: Height 36", width 22", height of opening 24 1/2", width of opening 19". Right: Height 36", width 18", height of opening 24 1/2", width of opening 15". I also have one more in stock the same but a different size.
