About the Item

A tall painted early 19th century oak fire mantel dating from circa 1800, utilising earlier 16th century parts. This understated antique fire surround has a simple panelled design, making a stylish addition to traditional country cottages and contemporary townhouses alike. The very dark grey / black paint finish will work beautifully alongside old style black and white beams or alternatively could be painted in an alternative finish to create a different look.
