About the Item

Similar to our Stuart fireplace, the Tudor stone fireplace features the traditional peaked arch opening, and triangular spandrels on either side of the arch, evoking the classic 16th century Tudor era. Unlike the Stuart, the Tudor features medallions on either side of the lintel, with a carved quatrefoil detail in each one. This fireplace does not include plinths, but shares the same molding profile as the Stuart, with flat and curved sections up through the legs and into the lintel. A slight chamfer is also featured running along the outer edges of the fireplace. The shelf is also identical to the Stuart, flaring out on either side, with a simple molding profile. As with the Stuart, the Tudor fireplace style is often seen in limestone, but works nicely in marble as well. It would look perfect in a Living Room, Family Room, Study, or even a larger Primary Bedroom. Custom sizes are available.
