About the Item
A pair of very unique and very rare white painted Heywood Brothers and Wakefield Company posing chairs, Circa 1898, designed with elephant trunk designed fronts and Aladdins feet designed backs, These chairs are highly decorative with curlicues all over and great example of this over the top early period in wicker design. These pieces were typically used in photography studios and movie and theater settings as decorative props.These highly decorative chairs are the perfect accent pieces for the foyer, a young girls bedroom, on the porch for quick additional seating, to hold large potted flowering plants or to be used in place of a side table.
