Japan early four step stone pagoda "stupa" from an old Japanese garden Japan, a fine and amazing surviving pagoda stupa sculpted in two pieces in a convenient portable size from a gray- limestone. This one dates to the 18th century. It takes its name from Hokyo Darani Sutra, which were placed inside Heian Period 8th century stupas In Japan, long ago the Pagoda architecture served as inspiration for stone garden ornaments in Japan. Some stone Pagodas known as Sekitō (石塔) in Japanese, are a perfect addition to the traditional Japanese garden because of the symbolism and their unique presence. A stone Pagoda can add a one-of-a-kind essence to a Japanese garden like no other garden ornament could. This is an architectural gem for display outdoors in your favorite garden place or special indoor space. Portable.
