Japanese Old Garden Stone "Tsukubai"/wabi sabi object / Garden Figurine /meiji

About the Item

This is an old Japanese garden ornament made of stone. It is thought that originally it was a tool for boiling water by placing charcoal inside and placing a kettle on top of it. It is thought that it eventually ceased to be used and was displayed in the garden for many years. It is heavy and weighs about 38 kg. There is a culture in Japan that makes gardens beautiful. It is this stone that is placed in the place where visitors wash their hands. It is called "tsukubai" in Japan. Water is flowing through a bamboo pipe, and it is a stone to catch the water. It is now loved as an object to create a garden atmosphere. It is thought that this was also used for something like that. In addition, Japanese houses had something called rain gutter chains, and it is possible that they were used as containers to catch the dripping rain. I have posted a reference photo, please take a look. It has holes so water won't accumulate, but it's very elegant and perfect as a garden decoration. It has holes so water won't accumulate, but it's very elegant and perfect as a garden decoration. 【Points to note】 There is also moss growing on it, but since this item has been stored in a warehouse, the color may change and vary from the photo. Please forgive me in advance. However, I try to add as much water as possible and store it in a humidified manner. Also, please note that overseas shipping may take approximately one week, and the moss may wither during that time. If the moss dies, please water it or apply an activator to the moss. If you want to grow moss, please sow new moss and grow it. This item has a few cracks, but there is no need to worry about it breaking. This is also one of the scenery of wabi-sabi. One part of the legs is slightly off the ground, but I don't think it will be a problem if you place it on soil. This is a very interesting design and the texture of the stone is also cool. This is an item that cannot be obtained. Also, I want many people to know the goodness of antiques, so I set the price reasonably. How about showing off to your friends around you? Weight: 38kg
