About the Item

This pair of Restoration style alcoves date back to the Louis-Philippe era at the beginning of the 19th century. These are elements of a paneled room , real elements of architecture allowing to redesign the space. In a beautiful hue of walnut, these alcoves are composed of four panels separated by Corinthian pilasters with gilded capitals. The vault is delimited by a fine molding, and underlined by the wooden edges joining at the top. The ark is highlighted by a row of gilt stucco flowers, surmounted by Allegories of Fame in flight, bringing crowns.

Art Nouveau paneling in Walnut with a wood Fireplace with Ceramic
Located in SAINT-OUEN-SUR-SEINE, FR
This exceptional Art Nouveau style pine and burr paneled room is beautifully carved and decorated with blue-green ceramics. Panels with elegant curved and sober lines are covering the bottom of the walls and harmonize the room to its center; a fireplace and its monumental over mantel mirror carved in walnut wood. The mirror is framed by a dynamic and undulating foliage, a pattern we can also find inside the fireplace in green enameled ceramic, which is highlighting the wood texture. The large overmantel mirror sumptuously raises the space of the chimney, structured with two consoles allowing to place lamps. Two distinct doors are also part of the composition, both surmounted by a small carved wood overmantel...

18th Century Italian Louis XV Solid Walnut Pair of Antique Corner Cupboards
Located in Casale Monferrato, IT
These exquisite Italian corner cabinets from the Louis XV period, dating back to the mid-18th century, bring a unique historical charm to your living space. Crafted from solid walnut, these corner cabinets are designed to enhance the aesthetics of any space while offering functionality. Each sideboard is constructed from two detachable sections: a base with elegantly slender, curved legs, and an upper section with a door. This modular design makes them easy to move and adapt to different environments. Distinctive features such as the elegant curved legs are typical of the Louis XV period. Adding to their appeal, the upper section boasts a rounded shape. Despite their small size, each corner cabinet efficiently integrates storage solutions: the upper compartment includes two shelves, while the lower section offers a small drawer. Finding a pair of corner cabinets from this era in such commendable condition is exceptionally rare. Although slight signs of wear attest to their rich history, they remain in good general condition and have been restored with a conservative approach. It is essential to measure the corner spaces based on the dimensions of the sideboards: each corner side measures 40 cm (approximately 15.748 inches). Ideal for a country home, these corner sideboards...
