Early 20th Century Italian Figural Carved Alabaster Lamp on Column

About

Late teens, early 1920's Italian alabaster lamp from the carving workshops of Volterra. Lamp is in the form of three cherubini or putti supporting an oblong alabaster globe, illuminated from within. The group stands on a round plinth which itself rests on a marble column. The various sections of alabaster and marble are held together by a threaded steel rod within. .
