About the Item

A most impressive and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Breche Violette Marble and Ormolu pedestal. This stunning pedestal is raised by four Ormolu corner supports below the square marble base. Above is a secondary square base separated by a richly chased Rais de Coeur designed band. The column has a fanciful decorated berried laurel Ormolu band while at the top is a sensational Corinthian Ormolu capital with highly detailed acanthus leaves and a top central sunflower. Above lays its fitted square Breche Violette Marble swivel top. Top Dimensions: L: 13.75" x D: 13.75" Base Dimensions: L: 14.25" x D: 14.25"
