Pair of French 18th Century Louis XVI Period Giltwood & Patinated Wood Pedestals

About the Item

A beautiful and most elegant pair of French 18th century Louis XVI period giltwood and patinated wood pedestals/plant stands. Each pedestal is raised by a circular giltwood base with a fine mottled border and richly carved palmettes. The baluster shaped central support displays exquisite acanthus leaf carvings and a delicate tapered fluted design leading to a capital like top and a wrap around beaded band. The patinated top above is framed within a most decorative finely carved wrap around foliate band.
