Pair of French 19th Century Belle Époque Period Onyx & Ormolu Mounted Pedestals
About the Item
An exceptional pair of French 19th century Neo-Classical st. Belle Époque period Onyx and ormolu pedestal columns. Each pedestal is raised by an impressive square base with a fine mottled border. The circular central supports display four large stunning acanthus leaves at the base and striking pierced scrolled foliate ormolu mount with smooth cabochons and most decorative satin and burnished finish at the center. Above four additional large acanthus leaf mounts are the square tops that swivel.
