True Pair of English 19th Century Regency Period Flamed Mahogany Pedestals

About the Item

An impressive and extremely decorative large scale true pair of English 19th century Regency period flamed Mahogany pedestal columns. Each one door one drawer pedestal is raised by a straight square base with a fine wrap around mottled border. At the front is a single door with a beautiful flamed Mahogany design framed within a recessed border and flanked by striking fluted columns with mottled plinths and superb ionic capitals below a single concealed drawer. The door opens to reveal one shelf in one pedestal and one adjustable shelf in the other and all original hardware with a stamp at the lock. The back is decorated in the same manner while the sides showcase the beautiful flamed Mahogany wood grain. Above are most decorative stepped and mottled designs leading to the square display shelf. Impressive presence and wonderful proportions.
