China was the earliest known civilization create works with cast iron, first appearing thousands of years ago during the illustrious Zhou dynasty. Textured with lotus blossoms in high relief and balanced on tripod feet, this contemporary urn references 19th century vessels that were used for collecting rain water and kept near homes in case of fire. This unusual container makes a fantastic planter.
