About the Item

Exceptional decorative piece with generous dimensions. Satin black and white glazes with a vibrant yellow interior characterise the universe of this Artist with sobriety and simplicity. The piece wears the Artist stamp on beneath "Andre Baud - Vallauris" The piece is in remarkable condition for its age and what's more considering that it has been initially used as a planter attested by the presence of 5 holes which have been filled in. A few small defects, mainly enamelling and the presence of a small lack of enamel on the rim (see the detailed photos), nothing that alters the presence of this very massive piece. About the Artist : André Baud is already an artist with a solid reputation when he moves to Vallauris in 1942. He actively participates in the reputation of this artistic center and his personal work is exhibited across Europe as well as in Oran and Sydney.
