About the Item

A charming and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated Bronze, Ormolu and Vert Antique marble statue. This wonderful statue of an open winged cherub is raised by a square Vert Antique marble base with concave corners below a Rais de Coeur Ormolu band and secondary circular marble level. Above is the patinated Bronze cherub with one leg on the ground, while wearing a flowing garment and hanging quiver filled with arrow. The cherub displays a wonderful expression and curly hair while gazing to the right. Wonderful attention to detail, with a warm and rich patina throughout.
