Pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st Ormolu, patinated Bronze & Granite urns

About the Item

A striking pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu, patinated Bronze and Granite urns. Each urn is raised by a square Granite base with a foliate wrap around patinated Bronze band. The circular fluted socle pedestal displays a most decorative etched design below the reeded patinated Bronze vase above. The vases display finely chased scenes of charming cherubs playing with a goat and eating grapes. Leading up each side are beautiful foliate designs and detailed rams heads with flank the urns as handles. The top rim displays fine patterns while the urn is also finished on the inside. All original gilt throughout.
