This diamond-shaped window is an impressive piece, steeped in heritage, featuring a central armorial crest. It depicts the coat of arms of the Tudor Trefor family within red stained glass and displays a lion with claws raised in a reared up rampant position. The Clan of Tudor Trefor Dating back to the 1st century, the Trefor family name is of Welsh origin, coming from Welsh settlements called Trevor in Anglesey and Denbigh. First found in Herefordshire, Tudor Trefor was the Lord of Hereford, Chirk, Whittington, Oswestry, Ewyas and Urchenfield, and descended from Cadell Ddyrnllwg, King of Powys (born circa 430AD).
