An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver basket; an addition to our silver basket collection. This exceptional antique George III sterling silver fruit basket has a plain rounded rectangular form onto a collet style foot. The body of this impressive sterling silver basket is comprised of wirework loops accented with a solid silver swept, rounded border accented with applied gadroon decoration to the rim. The border design is incorporated into the integrated cylindrical sterling silver handles at either end of the body; each handle features an impressive cast and applied leaf design to the handpiece. This Georgian basket is fitted with a fine and impressive hallmarked rope twist decorated swing handle incorporating a central handpiece reflecting the design to that of the body. An exceptional, fine and impressive, large pair of antique Victorian English sterling silver entrée dishes made by Walker and Hall; an addition to dining silverware collection. These exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver entree dishes have a rounded oval form. The surface of each cover is encircled with a fine band of bright cut engraved stylised scrolling leaf and undulating line decoration incorporating lozenge and floral shaped motifs. The decoration to each dish incorporates a vacant cartouche to either side. The surface of each base and the interior of the covers are plain and unembellished. The rim of each entree dish base, in addition to the upper surface of the covers are encompassed with an applied stylised Roman leaf border. Both covers retain the original fine and impressive fully hallmarked key fitting detachable shaped scrolling handles ornamented with further applied stylised Roman leaf borders.
