"Green Striped Wastebasket", Handcrafted, Painted Tole Piece by Briger

About the Item

Commissioned by Briger Design and made by Mexican artisans in San Miguel de Allende, this painted tole wastebasket is boldly designed and painted. The flaring sides of the piece are painted in contrasting stripes of mossy green and forest greet, rising up to a crown or frill of projecting half circles painted in deep, pinkish red. The piece is signed and dated on the bottom. Briger Design was founded by Cris and Paul Briger, and sourced its decorative objects from its workshop in New York as well as artisans in Mexico.
