Mid-Century French Hand Painted and Gilt Tole Basket with Floral Decor
About the Item
Place this colorful antique stand in a powder room. Crafted in France circa 1960 and oval in shape, the metal basket dressed with lion head side handles and pierced rim at the top, is decorated with hand painted floral motifs. The iron bucket is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns rich patinated colors in the beige and red palette on a black background, and embellished with gilt accents; the piece could also be used at your front door to collect umbrellas, canes or other accessories.
