19th Century Viennese Enamel Centerpiece with Watteau and Arabesque Painting

About the Item

Finest Viennese Enamel Work from around 1880: Fire-gilded bronze, elongated oval bowl and arched foot painted with colored enamel with Watteau scenes and richly detailed arabesque decoration, a three-dimensional, fire-gilded rococo boy with a wig and frock coat, hat and bouquet in his hands, serves as the carrier of the bowl. On the narrow sides of the bowl two raised rocaille handles with winged busts. Viennese / Austrian manufactory fire-gilded brass, enamel painting, hand-crafted and hand-painted Dimensions: heigth: 13.0 cm / 5.11 in width: 17.0 cm / 6.69 in depth: 8.0 cm / 3.14 in Condition: excellent, enamel fully intact.
