About the Item
A tribute to desert memory and elemental craft, the Nabatean Bowl by Maison Lamiè conjures the essence of ancient ritual vessels with quiet intensity. Inspired by the ceramic traditions of the Nabatean civilization that flourished along trade routes in the 4th century BCE, this singular piece distills history into raw, sculptural poetry.
Hand-formed using Maison Lamiè’s signature blend of clay, ash, and mineral pigment, the bowl’s asymmetrical profile and textured surface evoke the weatherworn strength of timeworn relics. Inside, faint script-like markings nod to undeciphered languages—symbols suspended between artifact and abstraction. The outer surface bears layers of earth-toned patina, intentionally distressed to recall objects long buried and newly found.
Maison Lamiè founder George Lamiè brings his North African lineage and Mediterranean sensibility into every form, channeling reverence for material, memory, and place. This is more than a bowl—it’s a vessel of presence.
Striking as a centerpiece, pedestal sculpture, or part of a tonal still life. Best displayed in spaces that welcome silence and story.

MAISON LAMIÈ
Maison Lamiè is a sculptural design studio where ancient form meets modern restraint. Founded by Egyptian artist George Lamiè, the studio produces hand-formed vessels and objects that blur the line between art and artifact—crafted to bring texture, narrative, and soul to interior spaces. Lamiè’s work distills the essence of place, memory, and material into tactile forms that feel both timeworn and contemporary. His Mediterranean roots and years spent in New York and Los Angeles inform a practice that values contrast—structure and spontaneity, rawness and refinement. Each piece is shaped by hand in his Atlanta studio, honoring imperfection as a mark of presence. Maison Lamiè collections are made in limited runs and sought after by designers and collectors alike for their quiet power and emotive depth. More than decor, they are sculptural statements—objects that live in dialogue with the spaces they inhabit.
