A  Large Art Nouveau Baccarat egelantier and leaf pattern yellow acid etched bowl with brass foot. floral cut to clear decoration featuring a textured fern leaf background with a lemon yellow overlay with Art Nouveau style flowers and leaves. With a richly decorated brass foot. High-quality detail to the flowers and leaves is typical of baccarat craftsmanship. Art Nouveau was born at the end of the 19th century as a reaction to the prolific and popular imitation of Louis XV and Louis XVI styles at the end of the Second Empire. Glass was one of the Favorite Mediums of the “Artisan Artists” of the Period.
