About the Item

Unique and huge ceramic bowl by Danish ceramist Birthe Sahl, made circa late 20th century. The bowl is decorated with a semi matte yellow green glaze with yellow speckles and spots. It's based on a small foot which makes it look floating. The bowl would be perfect as a fruit bowl and looks great for display. It is hand signed under the bottom: SAHL DK Birthe Sahl has run her ceramic workshop in Halvrimmen in the Northern part of Jutland since 1975. The bowl is in a very good vintage condition. No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. Minor irregularities in clay and glaze are from production Measurements Diameter: 37,7 cm (14.84") Height: 9,5 cm (3.74") Diameter foot: 8,3 cm (3.27")
