Product Description:
Gunnar Nylund, one of Sweden's leading ceramic artists, lived and worked all over Scandinavia being involved with Bing & Gröndahl in Denmark, Rörstrand in Sweden and studying in Helsinki. His work is exhibited in many museums in Scandinavia and other European countries. The item on offer here is called "ARO", a work made with a unique technique that combines productivity and artistry. The artistry is definitely visible, each ARO item is unique and has a different shade of glazing. The particular item on offer here has a green / pistache color with orange / brown hints closer to the top.
Product Condition:
Unfortunately, the item has a small chip on the rim of the item on top (visible on the last pictures). It is not entirely clear whether this chip has been created already in the production process or whether it appeared later in its life. The white scratch on the back of the item indicates that the item is of second quality (it could be that it made it out of the factory with this chip). Apart from the chip there is a small zigzag-line visible in the glazing below the chip. Apart from these two imperfections the item is in very good condition and is definitely beautiful to display.
