Large 19th Century French Copper Jam Pan

About

This massive 19th century copper pot is known as a jam pan. Used in the production of fine jambs and jellies, these large vessels often have hammered interiors and large iron handles and would be used to cook down the fruit and sugar. Today, this piece would be an impressive way to store firewood on a large hearth or as a decorative object in a kitchen or cooking space. The organic nature of copper's wonderful warm glow will add soul and life to any space you choose.
