Large Late 18th-Early 19th Century French Pottery Dough Bowl

About the Item

Large late 18th early 19th century rustic 24"+ French pancheon or dough bowl. This antique French dough bowl has a beautiful green glazed interior and an unglazed terra cotta exterior. French pancheons were versatile terracotta bowls for kitchen use starting in the 17th century. Uses included mixing, proofing bread dough and making cream.
