Large Starck Andersen 1950s Black, White Ceramic Wall Plate Centerpiece

About the Item

Danish modernist decorative plate / wall decoration / centerpiece with strong graphic decor from the Tribal Harlekin series by ceramic artist Marianne Starck (1931-2007). Shiny bone white glaze with hand-carved sgraffito graphic lines and patterns in raw anthracite colored clay. Stamped and numbered under base. Manufactured by Michael Andersen & Son on the island of Bornholm in the late 1950s. Beautiful vintage condition. Denmark, 1950s.
