About the Item
This is a very attractive two handled shallow Desert Bowl or Dish made by Mason's Ironstone Pottery, in the early 19th century.
The bowl is decorated in the Fence Vase and Dove chinoiserie influenced pattern, which shows a central flower filled vase, standing on a fenced wooden area, with a complex border which incorporates three roundels with doves and connected by a stylized floral design.
