Moorcroft Pomegranate Design Bowl

About the Item

This Moorcroft bowl is decorated with the "Pomegranate" design on a mottled green ground. This pattern was introduced in 1910 and became Moorcroft's most successful design, continuing into the late 1930's. The bowl measures 225 mm (9 inches) in diameter and stands 35 mm (1 3/8 ths of and inch) high. The base is impressed with a facsimile of William Moorcroft's signature, the stamp "Made in England", and "Potter to HM the Queen". It also has William Moorcrofts signed initials in blue. It is in very good condition apart from some light crazing. It would date from around 1928.
