Murano Pink Opal Gold Flecks Iridescent Quilted Italian Art Glass Serving Bowl
About the Item
Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown transparent light pink, iridescent and diamond quilted surface Italian art glass sectioned serving bowl / tray. The bowl has opalescent glass in the sectioned edges on the bowl, as well as the leafs of the grapes. The grape cluster in the center and the entire bowl is profusely filled with gold leaf. The bowl also has an applied scalloped foot. The entire piece has a very heavy iridescent surface. Created in the manner of the Artistica Soffiera Vetreria - Barovier Seguso Ferro company (in business for only 4 years, 1933-1937, before becoming Seguso Vetri D' Arte). Would make a great display piece on any coffee table, mantle of credenza. Use it as a catchall, or fill it with cookies and candy. Measures: 9 1/4" across each side x 4" tall.
