Pair of Russian Lapis Lazuli Bowls on Gilt Bronze Stands
About the Item
This pair of bowls made of lapis lazuli in the 20th century are set up on older gilded bronze stands. They are made not from the solid but veneered in the manner of Russian furniture, urns or columns and other table top accessories made in the 18th and 19th century. The bowls rest nicely on the stands but are not attached. The stands appear to be late 19th or early 20th century.
