French Restauration Centerpiece in Gilded Bronze
About the Item
Sizable restauration centerpiece in ormolu on four scrolling feet of foliage. The oval base is covered with a mirror that is surrounded by an open work frieze. The frieze is delicately sculpted with foliated rinceau, flowers, seeds and wheat and it sits above a ring of laurel leaves. Very beautiful chasing and detailed craftsmanship. Some rust stains on the mirror,
circa 1820.
