GORGEOUS GERMAN SILVER HUGE LIDDED BOWL OF FINEST MANUFACTURING QUALITY: It is excellently decorated - made in following manner: VICTORIAN STYLE Surface of bowl with lid is abundantly ornamented with chasing / chiselled work consisting of various ornaments (acanthus leaves & scrolls, flower's blossoms with leaves as well as flower's garlands combined with stylized ornaments - for example scrolls and lockets). The oblong bellied bowl having slightly domed lid is attached to four feet shaped as acanthus scrolls. Additionally, the bowl's lid is crowned with a sculptured cherub's figurine holding a chalice as well as a lyre. MANUFACTORY: HANAU / GERMANY master's mark: JEAN L. SCHLINGLOFF (having his own manufactury in Hanau as from the year 1907 until 1930 / the silversmith had been active for Hanau firm Neresheimer & Co. before / the high quality of items made in manufactory Schlingloff - Hanau is well-known in Germany) GERMANY (hallmarked) / SILVER 800 branded by GERMAN OFFICIAL STAMP: Crescent with Crown MADE CIRCA 1907 -10 HEIGHT: 22 cm circa 8.8 inches LENGTH: 30 cm circa 12.0 inches TOTAL WEIGHT: 1771 GRAMS 62.47 OZ
