Antique & Rare Pair of Hand Carved Italian Alabaster Tazza Table Display Pieces
Located in Lisse, NL
All handcrafted out of alabaster these stylish & decorative tazzas make great centrepieces.
This rare pair of 19th century tazzas comes with overhanging wine branches all around the circular tops. Finding this pair of Renaissance Revival tazzas more than made our day, because they will look great as dinner table centrepieces. Many centuries ago tazzas were initially used as drinking vessels only, but later in time they were used for other purposes as well. This pair obviously is perfect for putting grapes on when entertaining guests with food and wine, but they also make great fruit bowls presented with a wide variety of colors. Have you also noticed the striking, entwined dolphins twirling down to the stem? They make this pair even more decorative and remarkable. As is almost always the case, these original and good condition tazzas have some losses (to the overhanging leafs only), but because of the richness of these decorations they are not very noticeable.
If you appreciate this antique pair of natural mineral stone Tazza...
