About

This blown-glass bowl in an unusual shade of orange is infused with gold leaf throughout. It is an early example of the model introduced around 1928 by Venini's art director Napoleone Martinuzzi. Another example in purple, without the gold leaf, is in the house museum of Gabriele D'Annunzio, the great Italian poet and important patron of both Martinuzzi and Venini.
