A large leaf-shaped Art Deco centrepiece by Josef Ekberg for Gustavsberg, Sweden. Amazing sea green lustre glaze with hand decorated gilt embellishment. Made of flintware. Josef Ekberg, born February 18, 1877 in Värmdö, Stockholm, died December 7, 1945 in Gustavsberg, Stockholm, was a Swedish ceramist and designer at the Gustavsberg porcelain factory. He was artistic director at Gustavsberg 1908–1917.
