Jean Luce Porcelain Jewelry Dish Paris France

About the Item

A small, rare porcelain dish, German made (Schonwald), designed by French designer Jean Luce, circa early-20th century, Germany and France. This small round dish may have been a dinnerware piece to hold a pat of butter on a cruise ship, early-20th century. The center design of this piece, in gold, shows two greyhound dogs embracing a shield and crown, below this shield and crown reads, 'Splendid for Ever'. A rare piece, great to hold jewelry as demonstrated in images. Very good condition as show in images. No chips noted. With markers' marks on underside/bottom as shown in last image. Dimensions: 3.25" Diameter.
